Tisa's Approach

Helping People Everywhere Design Vibrant and Sustainable Lives!

Tisa's Approach

Each person or team I partner with is unique and brings their own distinct history and hopes with them. And no single approach, or program can optimally support everyone, That’s why I engage an integrative holistic approach aimed at meeting you right where you are!

I always begin with listening.

Finding the right balance to complement and nurture your unique rhythm is essential to your overall well-being and personal sense of success. The work we do together is dynamic, enriching, sometimes challenging, and often quite a bit of fun.

4 Primary Modalities

After decades of theory and practical experience with many approaches, schools, and techniques, I have found 4 primary modalities to be most effective in supporting my clients. I engage one, two, three, or all four modalities to help my clients thrive.

What do all 4 Modalities have in common?

  • They honor each client's role as the expert in their own lives.
  • They value deep listening, discovery, and the power of generative questions.
  • They imbue the process with kindness and cultivate curiosity.
  • They welcome and respect the wisdoms of body, mind, and spirit.

Coaching

"Coaching is a Partnership of Two Experts: Coach is the expert of the context; Client is the expert of the content."

The coaching relationship is a lot like riding a tandem bike. My clients always ride up front— leading the way and setting the pace. As your coach, I ride with you and help you reach your destination faster. Coaching is a partnership that accelerates what is already underway or about to begin! Along the way, I ask generative questions, offer encouragement, and hold you accountable. I offer insight to support your expanding awareness. My focus is always on your overall well-being. Sometimes what’s needed is a nudge to slow down. Other times, reminding you of your long-term goals will rekindle your fire. Whatever it takes, I’m there! Coaching is a proven approach that fosters real and measurable changes. Coaching maximizes potential—moving people from good to great!

The Enneagram

Knowing your Enneatype and understanding the dynamic nature of the Enneagram as a system has the power to liberate you from your box of personality and perspective. Rather than boxing people in, the Enneagram opens pathways toward self-discovery and greater personal awareness. It invites you to delve deeply into your motivations, fears, and longings to expand the lens with which you view yourself and the world. As you become familiar with your Enneatype, you begin to see how your personality’s preferences both support and challenge your personal and professional growth. Working with the Enneagram helps us recognize and relax our typical ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving to practice living in fresh and expanded ways.

The Enneagram is a mapping framework that offers in-depth insight into individuals, groups and collectives. It recognizes three centers of intelligence (head, heart, body) and nine basic personality types offering a rich map for personal development from an open systems perspective.

Integrative Spiritual Awareness

Integrative Spiritual Awareness as a modality supports your awakening to the dynamic world within and around you. From here, everything belongs!

Simply stated, Integrative Spiritual Awareness is knowing what matters most to you and designing a life that reflects and embodies just that! By integrating spiritual awareness through this gentle approach, you will carry your spiritual practice from the cushion or the pew into every aspect of life, relationships, and work. Through cultivating this attunement, clients practice taking steps toward discovering and living into what matters most.

Appreciative Inquiry

Appreciative Inquiry is characterized by earnest, genuine curiosity and openness. The emphasis is ‘appreciative,’ meaning we look for what is life giving and focus on that. This may seem overly simplistic yet we can easily get stuck focusing on problems and what isn’t working. Appreciative Inquiry reminds us to be wary of eloquent descriptions of problems masquerading around as solutions! Instead, let’s focus on what you want!

"We grow in the direction of the questions we ask and live in worlds our questions create. Discover the root causes of success rather than the root causes of failure." ~ David Cooperider, Founder of Appreciative Inquiry

Kind Words From Tisa's Clients

Recognizing that I was coming up on retirement, I decided to work with Tisa to support me through this major life’s transition. Truth is that in my quest to make a living, I realized that I had wholly forgotten to make a life! I was burned out and floundering in despair. Tisa’s compassion and breadth of experience has and continues to support me as I envision and author my next chapter. It is wonderful to be excited about my life again!
